1 Week In

Xyberhome has been online for a week now, we’ve had a little over a thousand downloads so far.  Not bad considering the minimal marketing we’ve done.  One thing we have noticed is that our users are having a tough time with the tutorials on our website.  So, we’ve decided to kick it up a notch and hire a graphic designer to come up with a slide show for us.

Another thing we’re currently looking at is to upgrade the amount of Cloud space each user gets.  It’s currently set at 25MB, but if things go well it could be increased significantly.

Xyberhome Has Gone Live!

Great news, we are officially live with Xyberhome 1.0 on the Firefox network!

Big News: Awesome Tabs and Product Release

We’ve decided to add a new feature, which we think will take the Awesome Tabs to a whole new level.  In fact, we may have to upgrade the name to Ludicrously Awesome Tabs (sorry, bad joke).  Anyway, onto the announcement:

Awesome Tabs will now allow the user to save tabs as public or private.  Previously, the tabs you saved could only be used or seen by you.  Now, you’ll be able to save these tabs publicly if you wish, meaning that they’ll be available for everyone to see.  This tab will be search-able by Google and we think it’s a really cool advancement (hopefully you will too).

Regarding the product release, we expect to launch Xyberhome officially tomorrow on Firefox.  So be on the lookout!

New Products to Look Out For

Watch out for these products that we’re almost ready to launch:

1.  The Cloud Bar – Embeds an icon in your Firefox browser that gives you access to your own personal cloud.  In your cloud you can save data of any kind in any format.  It also lets you take screen shots and has a feature to directly grab content off the internet.

2.  Awesome Tabs – These are an improved version of the Firefox tabs.  They allow you to save any number of pages and combine them into one single tab.  These tabs can then be transported to any other computer using your Xyberhome ID.  Say goodbye to bookmarks!

3.  Power Search – A powerful feature that can be used in conjunction with your Cloud and Awesome Tabs.  Provides a customizable way to search through the internet and your own data.
